With the success of our school garden, Walden has begun to offer a unique and exciting lunch program to our students. Partnering with in-house professional chef, Renee Rose Currier, in a pilot program, we are serving yummy, warm farm-to-table lunches on a weekly basis. Meals feature produce and fresh fruit from the school garden, complemented with fresh local foods. Every menu item is made from scratch with a strong focus on organic ingredients. Our mission is to promote healthy eating and environmental awareness, while offering the opportunity for students to practice meal etiquette, table manners, and cultural awareness through cuisine. And...the students LOVE it!
