Our Woodpeckers finished up a quarter-long unit on trees as part of their weekly environmental studies/Project Learning Tree activities.

As part of their historical studies, the Wallabies and Wolves created an afternoon of crafts and activities that children during Colonial Times would have participated in -- and then taught them to the Woodpeckers.
Our SACS-accredited high school program has re-opened! We are excited to introduce its new lead teacher, Luz Vargas-Aponte, MS in Chemical Engineering.

Miss Victoria leads some of our 4th grade through high school students in some warm-up exercises for Drama Class. Students are excited for their May performances!
All of our students, K-12th grade, have been planting veggies in the school garden as part of their environmental studies and economics project at the close of the semester -- when they plan to sell their goods to parents while studying supply and demand!
Not only do students get to Shadow at Walden prior to enrollment, but prospective parents are also able to spend time in the classroom watching teachers and students in action. One of our new Walden parents left this note after her observation.

We are excited to announce the opening of our new part-time program offering a challenging curriculum of core subjects for students in K-8th. We are seeking gifted, talented students who may want or need a more flexible school schedule than the traditional school day. If your child may be a good candidate, please contact us for more information.
And all students, K-8th, are starting to learn chess to enhance critical thinking skills!
Walden students and families collected donations for Casselberry Kidz, a non-profit organization that provides food and clothing to struggling families at Casselberry Elementary and South Seminole Middle School.
