to think.  To grow.  To make a difference.

kindergarten, elementary, MIDDLE,
& high school Programs

Students, staff, and families model, teach, and embrace the democratic principles of tolerance, thoughtful debate, and civic involvement.

At Walden we prepare students to be socially responsible and academically accomplished.

Walden takes the concept of creative genius seriously by nurturing curiosity and a sense of wonder. We strive to protect and nurture each child’s innate desire to ask questions, make connections, and continuously explore their environment.

We guide students to think originally, to trust their intuition, and to work to the best of their ability as shown in the quality of their portfolio.

Walden offers a rigorous and engaging transdisciplinary curriculum.

At Walden, learning is viewed as an ongoing progressive experience. Students acquire knowledge and skills in incremental and sequential manners. A continuum of learning that builds upon itself is an integral component of Walden’s progressive educational programs.

The journey is more important than the destination, the educational experience is indeed the reward.

We nurture a path of self-discovery with deep intellectual pursuit and healthy identity formation.

“The best teachers are those who show you where to look, but don't tell you what to see.”

LOWER SCHOOL

Walden is grounded in the philosophy of Maria Montessori, “what the hand does, the mind remembers.” Our curriculum includes a variety of child-centered best practices providing foundations for exploring and mastering how to learn and how to think.

UPPER SCHOOL

Rigorous academics challenge each student to reach their highest potential. As a college preparatory program we believe that high expectations for academic achievement requires determination, motivation, and drive to succeed in and outside of the classroom.
